Lexi.Market commercial data exchange platform

Lexi.Market commercial data exchange platform

Project Short Description:

EAS (Enterprise Estonia) supports Brightspark LLC’s product development in two stages. In the first stage, support is provided within the framework of the project “Creation of the Lexi.Market commercial data exchange platform,” and then within the framework of “Development of additional functionality for the Lexi.Market commercial data exchange platform.”

Objective:

The goal of Project 1 is to create the Lexi.Market commercial data exchange platform, which fits into the company’s strategic commercial information system. The company’s objectives related to Lexi.Market are divided into the following sub-stages:

  • Develop the Lexi.Market data exchange platform and take a leading position in the field of product information exchange between retailers and suppliers.
  • Expand the Lexi.Market environment for international use in cooperation with Estonian retailers and suppliers who buy or sell products internationally.
  • Supplement the Lexi.Market product with additional functionalities and evolve into an internationally known information system for organizing product management in retail companies.

The goal of Project 2 is to develop additional modules supporting the work processes of the retail purchasing department for the Lexi.Market platform:

  • The Purchasing Manager’s Desk, which aims to create a user interface for a retail chain’s purchasing manager to accept, compare, enrich with retailer-specific product data, and forward to background systems incoming product proposals. Among other things, it is also possible to accept form-based product proposals that have not been submitted via the Lexi.Market platform.
  • The Retailer’s PIM (product information management), whose purpose is to provide a product information database solution for entering, managing, storing, and interfacing product information with other background systems. The PIM solution is necessary for companies because classic economic software does not allow for the storage of all necessary product-specific meta-fields. The PIM solution, in contrast, allows designing product cards based on product group characteristics, which enables all product information to be managed in one data collection. The central data collection can then be interfaced with various other usable information systems – warehouse, cashier systems, online store, and accounting system.
